Introduce your child to the joy of dance through this engaging, fun & creative movement class at Vaughan’s most highly respected dance school. This program will introduce your child to the basic fundamentals of musicality, rhythm and ballet in a nurturing and positive environment and give them the opportunity to get acquainted with the school and faculty - a great stepping stone for those looking to register their child for the fall term.
Join us for a fun filled week of Dance, Yoga & Mindfulness, Visual Art, Team Building, Fitness & more! Whether your child is new to dance and yoga or has previous experience, this program is not to be missed! Students will: participate in daily dance classes (Jazz, Ballet, Musical Theatre & Hip Hop), learn the fundamentals of yoga and mindfulness, let their creativity and imagination flow with visual arts and crafts, take part in team building activities, stay engaged and active all day long!
WSD is thrilled to announce our new summer intensive open to all students ages 10+. Join us in studio where you will focus on your technique, learn and grow with a creative, energetic faculty, and experience new dance styles. Dancers will be exposed to different disciplines including: Ballet & Jazz Technique, Contemporary, Theatre Jazz, Hip Hop, Strength & Conditioning & more! Have fun, challenge yourself and develop as a dancer in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Whether you are a beginner or seasoned Acro student, develop your strength, flexibility, and Acro skills with our 3 day action filled intensive for ages 6+. Students will work on the five divisions of AcroDance: Strength Training & Acro Conditioning, Flexibility, Balancing, Limbering, Tumbling. Classes will be divided into groups based on ability and level.
Calling all ITP/PPP students! This summer get back into your intensive dance routine with a week of high energy, technical classes. Our incredible WSD faculty and guest teachers will inspire you to step out of your comfort zone while challenging your technique, creativity, and movement expression. Gain confidence and develop as a dancer in an uplifting and positive environment. You will be refreshed, inspired, and motivated for the upcoming dance season! Schedule to be announced.
Enjoy a complete workout while studying classical movement and technique associated with the discipline of ballet. Students will utilize strength and grace while warming up with barre work, followed by combinations in the center, finish strong with conditioning exercises, followed by a calming stretching session for your body and mind. Open ballet classes are recommended for participants, 12 years and over, with a good working knowledge of ballet.
